Announcement of Revised Submission Guidelines Journal of Educational Practice and Research (April 14, 2026)

I. The revised provisions announced herein were approved at the 2nd Editorial Board Meeting of Volume 39 of the Journal of Educational Practice and Research, held on March 31, 2026.

II. The key revisions to the Submission Guidelines are as follows:

  1. The journal has adjusted the categories of accepted scholarly manuscripts. The category “Comments and Responses” has been removed. The remaining categories include “Research Articles,” “Research Notes,” and “Literature Reviews.”
  2. The abstract requirements are specified as follows:
    • Chinese abstracts must not exceed 1,000 words; English abstracts must not exceed 800 words.
    • Up to five keywords are allowed in both Chinese and English.
    • Abstracts must be presented in paragraph form and comprehensively cover the following elements: research purpose, major theories and literature, research design and methodology, research findings and originality, as well as practical implications and applications.
  3. Effective May 1, 2026, manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be subject to a review fee of NT$3,000. Accepted manuscripts will be charged a publication fee of NT$6,000.
  4. Manuscripts must conform to the latest APA style; otherwise, they may be rejected.
  5. For manuscripts revised from theses or dissertations, a statement must be included upon publication:
    “This article is revised from a master’s/doctoral thesis, supervised by Professor [Name].”
    In addition, submissions involving duplicate submission or violations of academic ethics will not be accepted for two years.
  6. For English manuscripts or abstracts requiring professional editing, authors may be responsible for the editing fees, depending on the circumstances.
  7. Once a manuscript enters the initial review stage, no addition or modification of authorship will be permitted.
  8. Manuscripts that are not revised and resubmitted within two weeks after the revision deadline will be considered withdrawn (rejected).
